ABOUT ME

Having worked as an illustrator for many years it wasn’t long into my pottery journey before these two worlds began to merge. The joy of creating artwork combining both beauty & practical function has always felt particularly fulfilling.

My ceramic work focuses on clean elegant hand thrown forms which are then worked into using an array of decorative materials and techniques. I predominantly throw using stoneware and earthenware then add colour and texture using underglazes, coloured slips, ceramic pencils, oxides, glazes, and sgraffito. Themes encompass a joyous appreciation for the natural world combined with a love of traditional folk art.

No two pieces are the same, and despite this occasionally proving rather troublesome there is also an undeniable beauty to it.
